January 31th - AQUA, BOWLING & PARTY

What a day! I have been extremely busy but I had so much fun!

First off, I had to babysit Yuki. We met up at his station, from where we went to the Aquarirum. I was so excited, I love dolphins and other sea animals =). We saw the Seal-show, very funny. Although they spoke in Japanese, I could understand what they were saying. We also went to the Dolphin show, which was not-so spectacular. I mean, they were just jumping.. whatever? But Yuki was in love with the dolphins, so we bought a ticket so that he could touch one of them. He was So nervous and excited, he was like shining! I bought him all the photos on a CD-rom, a present from me. He was so happy! We also saw a lot of other animals, like sharks and a finding-Nemo-fish!
After the Aquarium, we went Bowling. We had so much fun together, even though he is only 9. I can have fun with anyone, regardless the age. The first time I won, of course, but the second time he did, big time! He was extremely good, he had strikes all the time, what's up with me? I don't know what happened, but I just can't believe I actually lost from a 9-year-old. =(

After the fun, we had to do his homework. I totally forgot about that, so he had to be quick. I have to admit, I didn't understand a thing of what he was doing. It's not allowed for Japanese children to use a calculator, so he did everything in his head. He was working on roots, extremely hard ones, and he was like a robot. But most children in Japan are when it comes to schoolwork. Freaky, but he will be a smart boy =).

After the 'boy-sitting' (that's how Yuki called it) I had that concert of the pianist who lives in Amsterdam. I was sleeping during the concert because I am not used to that kind of music. But, she was amazingly good, just not my thing I guess. Johnnie introduced me to a lot of people, which was pretty nice. I also met a half Japanese-Dutch woman (she's 30) named Nayumi. She was SO funny, Oh my lord. She was born in The Hague, so her voice was SO Dutch. I loved her so much! A friend of hers invited me over to another party near the comcert hall. I joined, of course, and it was an amazing party. It was an opening of a restaurant, a gorgeous one. I talked a lot with Nayumi and the food was great (and free =)).

After that, we went to a bar in Ebisu. It was on the 5th floor and really small. But it looked SO stylish, it was the best place I've been in Tokyo so far. We had so much fun, we laughed and talked about a lot of things. There were a lot of friends of Nayumi, so it was really nice to meet some other people! We will definitely stay in touch. Unfortunately, my camera's battery was 'exhausted', so I wans't able to make any pictures. But hey, you will see some pictures later!

-xo-
